Thought I'd throw of a pic of us up....this is Jerry, Sandy, and myself at the Sun Valley Wine Auction this past July.

New to the world of blogging

Hello all....thought I'd enter the new world order by starting a blog, in hopes that some of you might be interested in what I do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis when it comes to the world of making wines . This way I can keep you informed about the wines I am making, from vineyard to bottle. I'll try to include pics to keep it interesting, and of course, make some musical suggestions to keep you informed, updated, and "hip"!!!

For those of you who don't know me, I have a winery here in Walla Walla WA (hence, "Twice Walla") called Sleight of Hand Cellars, with my two business partners, Sandy and Jerry Solomon. The winery is a labor of love, and one that was born out of the mutual love of food, wine, and friends. I have been making wines in the Valley for 7 years now, and starting my own winery is the culmination of all I have learned over the past 7 years. Our focus at Sleight of Hand Cellars is Syrah, Cab Franc, and Merlot. We also make a white and red table wine, called The Magician and The Spellbinder, respectively. And no, I am not a magician! The name of the winery is the name of a Pearl Jam song, off the Binaural album from a few years back....look it up (http://www.pearljam.com/songs/song.php?song=SleightOfHand ) .

Harvest 2007 notes will come shortly, with some photos as well...a quick preview is that it looks amazing so far...all the merlot is in, and the syrah is almost all in. Some Lewis syrah still hanging, along with cab and a bit of petit verdot we are playing around with. Until then, I'll try to upate as much as I can, when I can!

Cheers!
